■ Ingredients:
- Flatfish: 2
- Radish: Half a piece
- Green Onion: 1 stalk
Seasoning:
- Soy Sauce: 4-5 tablespoons
- Oyster Sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Oligodang Syrup: 4 tablespoons
- Cooking Wine: 3 tablespoons
- Pepper: a little
- Minced Garlic: 1 teaspoon
■ How to cook:
-
Cut the radish into 1.5 cm thick half-moon slices and arrange them in a pot, making sure they don’t overlap.
-
Mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, and oligodang syrup to create a balance of sweet and salty flavors.
-
Add the seasoning mixture to the radish in the pot and pour in enough water to cover the radish. Simmer the radish until it’s cooked through, then remove it from the pot.
-
In the remaining soy sauce mixture, add the prepared flatfish. Add minced garlic, cooking wine, and pepper. Simmer over medium heat, spooning the soy sauce mixture over the fish occasionally.
-
Cut one stalk of green onion into large pieces and add it to the pot. If you prefer, you can also add Cheongyang chili peppers for extra spice. I omitted them since this dish is for children.
-
Once the fish is nearly cooked, return the radish to the pot. Simmer over medium-low heat for an additional 5 minutes until the dish is fully cooked.
